There is no single price for office cleaning, because no two offices need the same thing. A fair figure needs the site details — and the way it is charged matters too: some cleaners quote an hourly rate, others a fixed price per visit or per month. A fixed price for an agreed scope is easier to budget and compare. A ten-desk office cleaned once a week and a busy clinic reception cleaned every evening are different jobs. What you can control is the information that shapes the quote — and how easy the quotes are to compare.

What shapes the price

Floor area and layout

More floor means more vacuuming and mopping, but the layout matters as much as the size. An open-plan floor is quicker to clean than the same area split into many small offices, meeting rooms and corridors.

Bathrooms and kitchens

These take the most time per square metre. The number of toilets, showers and kitchenettes often affects the price more than the number of desks.

Frequency

Daily, a few times a week, weekly or fortnightly. More frequent visits are usually shorter, because less builds up between them, so the right schedule depends on how many people use the space and how quickly the kitchen and bathrooms need attention.

Scope

A clear scope keeps quotes comparable. Common items:

  • desks and reachable surfaces dusted and wiped
  • kitchens and break rooms
  • bathrooms cleaned and restocked from your supplies
  • bins emptied and relined
  • floors vacuumed and mopped
  • keyboards, mice and phones, if you want them done

Then the extras that are often priced separately: carpet steam cleaning, interior glass and partitions, or a one-off deep clean before an audit or event.

Hours and access

Cleaning before or after business hours suits most offices. Ask whether the time of day affects the price, and agree how keys, alarm codes and building access will be handled.

Consumables

Decide who supplies hand towels, toilet paper, soap and bin liners. Some quotes include them; others restock from your supplies. Either is fine — just compare like with like.

How to get quotes you can compare

  1. Write a one-page scope: what you want done, how often, and when.
  2. Give the same information to everyone: floor area, number of bathrooms and kitchens, desks, hours and access.
  3. Ask for a fixed price per visit or per month, with any extras listed separately.
  4. Ask what happens when something is missed and how changes are agreed.
  5. Check the notice period for ending the arrangement.

Our office cleaning checklist is a good starting point for the scope.

Specialist work to arrange separately

We do not do clinical or medical-grade disinfection or work at heights. If your workplace needs them, arrange a specialist who is equipped for that work.

How we quote

Our office cleaning is quoted after we understand the space. Most proposals are a fixed price per visit, with any agreed extras listed separately. To start, send the details through the commercial quote request — floor area, rooms, how often and when — and we come back with questions or a written proposal.
